She went to the rider behind him whose face was filled with hatred and she held out her hand beseechingly, her voice choked with pleading. Romance is not my preferred genre, but this book definitely has all the magical elements to make you believe in fairy tale love and a knight in shining armor. They do this by spreading falsehoods about her to the clan and Jennifer becomes a social pariah. I just didn’t love it. I know there was some controversy about some of her sex scenes bordering on rape and the sometimes callous treatment of the hero towards the heroine.
